Lovely and friendly staff. My dog has skin problems the vet was very good
The vets are great and do care
Amazing, kind, caring team. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
So somehow our Marley got out tonight which wasnt good concidering shes not meant to go out for another week since her op.Some lovely young girls found her and took her to the vets on the high street the island. The vets told the girls to put her back on the street. (Thank god they didnt) the girls asked if they could scan her for a chip the vets said no they couldnt cause it wasnt their responsibility. Absolutely disgusted i am this dog had a major life threatening operation only one week ago
My partner took our dog here with what we suspected was a corneal ulcer caused by possibly a grass seed. Saw the vet (another different one, never see the same person each time you go) and iodine was put in her eye and was told it's "probably a scratch", so to use the overly price marked up medicinal drops provided to heal, upon paying noticed that there was a charge for an injection which he hadn't had administered for pain relief, when this was questioned the vet came and gave her the injection as an after thought in the reception area of the practice. Over a few days her eye got progressively worse so we made another appointment, again iodine was put I her eye and again was told "maybe a scratch, persist with drops", this appointment was over in literally seconds with no detailed inspection of her eye, which I haven't mention by this time was visually horrific and she was clearly in agony and had been for days. We were sent away with a vague timeframe of which to come back to pay more money for this sloppy practice. We had had enough at this point and made an appointment at another vets as we was not convinced all was being done what could be, the first appointments at this new vets and within seconds they realised something wasn't right, they found a grass seed in her eye over an inch long, which has caused a corneal ulcer - exactly which is what my partner raised as a main concern to the island vets on the first visit. She is now being treat correctly and is on the mend but we have to wait and see if she will have vision damage due to the neglect, wrong prescription and time she was left with the grass seed in her eye from the "qualified vet" at the island vets. I am totally appalled, angry, upset and bewildered that someone who is supposedly trained in veterinary practice can miss and disregard such a serious issue as maybe a scratch, to miss this once when you are supposedly trained is quite unprofessional but twice is pathetic. I rang the vets head quarters in balby to raise my concerns and complain to the practice manager but was told she was not available, receptionist took my details and was told someone would be in touch, asap, the same receptionist rang me back half hour later and said hello do you want to book Miller in for an all appointment? At this point I have lost all patience and it is clear the staff are totally incompetent from the floor staff up to manager of the whole cowboy outfit. Seeing my poor dog go through prolonged discomfort and such pain because of your obvious disinterest and complete ethic of get them in/out as quickly and profitable as possible makes me completely sick to my stomach. Your whole shambolic regime disgusts me.
